Enjoying a fantastic location just paces away from the beach and local amenities, as well as easy access to the stunning surroundings of the North York Moors National Park, Victorian House is a superb dwelling for a family or group of 10 wanting to add a touch of grandeur to their escape. Within the property, you will find a wealth of original features, as well as a spacious and well-equipped kitchen for rustling up culinary delights for your loved ones to savour around the dining table for 10. Just off the kitchen is a ground-floor shower room with washing machine, perfect for freshening up after a day of exploring. After dinner, relax in the sitting room where you can select a much-loved film from the wall-mounted TV as the woodburning stove crackles nearby. The property also benefits from having its own private yard. On the first floor, you will find three double bedrooms, one with woodburning stove, each served by a bathroom and separate cloakroom for your convenience. There was 10 of us and a baby, that went for Christmas. We had to take our own Christmas tree and try and make it Christmassy. (Sorry this is going to be a long review) On arrival, we had no cold water, so after text messages with the owner, we eventually got water, but to find the tap was broken and just dripped all the time. We then found out that we had no hot water or heating. Again after texting we had someone come out, but couldnât get there till after 10pm. (It was the owner who came out, we found out afterwards.) He then had to call an engineer to come and help. So by 1:30/2am we were all sorted. After all this excitement, we went to bed, to find one bed had broken slats, so we had to repair the bed before going to sleep. We then had the fun of finding out that the downstairs shower didnât work as we couldnât get hot water to work in there. So we had 10 people of all ages using the main bathroom, that was not ideal. The cleanliness wasnât the best. I cleaned the bathrooms and wonât put you off by saying how dirty the plugs etc was, itâs lucky I had some gloves on. On the surface, the house look lovely but once you started living there, you started to notice things that didnât work or looked funny. It could be a fantastic house, if things where finished to a higher standard, but then again it did allow 4 dogs at a time (we only had one dog with us) It was missing the front door key. We had no instructions on how to use the cooker washing machine dishwasher, tumble dryer, etc thank goodness the Internet was good and we could find them all on Google. The main television in the front room had no main channels you had to watch BBC iPlayer or Netflix, lucky we had accounts. We had to message him again regarding rubbish and the bins etc. a hand book/welcome notice would have been very helpful. Would I book this house again, no. Itâs a shame really as the beach was a lovely for children and you could walk there easily.

I would recommend staying at Victorian house. The house is lovley, spacious and clean. The beds are comfy and loads of wardrobe space. The bathroom downstairs was great with shower and washer in there. Theres a Massive table in the dinning room which we sat around for family meals and played games in the evenings. The Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed when we cooked a meal. Even had a dishwasher. The children loved playing chess and the table top pool table that was at the house. Theres a bathroom on the 1st floor with a bath and another shower and a seperate toilet next door. All 5 bedrooms were all lovley tidy and clean when we arrived. Dogs are welcolme . We had 4 dogs with us which was lovley as they are part of our family too. There is a enclosed yard to the rear with garden furniture. Would stay again had such a lovley time. Thank you
